The Corrosive Challenge #160 - Treacherous Treats

This is my second post for today.  For the Sassy Studio Designs Halloween Mini Release Blog Hop please click HERE.

"Treacherous Treats" is the theme for this fortnight's Corrosive Challenge.  I love making and sharing goodies, but it is especially fun at this time of year!  To play along, all you have to do is make a Halloween themed treated holder.  It can be any kind - a bag, a box, a cone, or a test tube and holder like I made!

I found the template online somewhere and it was easy enough to make.  The test tube is from Martha Stewart.  From what I've seen, I think she likes Halloween as much as I do!  All you need is a piece of 4x12 cardstock, a cutting tool, and a scoring tool.  My image is Sassy Nurse Heather from our October sponsor, Sassy Studio Designs.  I colored her with Copics and Prismacolor Art Markers.  This is NOT the nurse you want drawing your blood.  See the smudge by her lips?  Yeah, she enjoys a taste every now and then.  I know she's not a traditional Halloween image, but I was trying to think outside the box.  I filled the test tube with red M&Ms and added the specimen label that came with the test tubes.  I also added some scraps of designer paper from the DCWV Midnight Spell stack to the holder, and I was done.  Good thing too as this was my 3rd project in 24 hours and I'm exhausted!  In my attempts at late night caffeination, I had a near mishap with a spilled can of Diet Coke!  Apparently my vigorous punching for my SSD project shook a container of flowers off the top of my Copic holder onto my desk and right into the open beverage container!   But the crafting gods were watching over me and it landed right side up with only minor spillage, missing my colored image and everything else of importance!  Phew!

After such a busy Saturday, I plan to relax with the small man today.  We're going to meet up with my best friend and her kids this afternoon and just enjoy the lovely rainy Fall day!  Please head over to The Corrosive Challenge blog to see what the rest of the team has concocted.

Have a fabulous Sunday and thanks for popping in!

Markers used: Copics (E11, E21, E00, E04, R20, E23, E31, E79, BG10) and Prismacolor Art Markers (79, 150, 151, 169).

She is so much fun and looks so devious! Absolutely love the tubes (I bought some tubes also!) and I'd be so afraid to take what she has in hers!

This is so fabulous!! I just LOVE that test tube, and your coloring of the nurse looks awesome. I definitely wouldn't want her drawing my blood...I'm already freaked out enough by the needles. I need a nice nurse! =D
